Domain Name Expired?

You can't remember where you bought your domain name... Web.com, godaddy.com, networksolutions.com, register.com?? The list goes on.

This problem is happening more and more. Often, domain names have been registered using a contact email that no longer exists, or an employee that no longer works with you, so there is no way to know that the domain needs to be renewed!

First, You have to find out the "registrar" of the domain name. A registrar is the company that sold you your name.

One way to find out where to renew is to go to Network Solutions - WHOIS. Type in your domain name with the right extension of .com or .net or .org, and it will give you information regarding the status of the domain name, and hopefully, who the registrar is.

Contact the registrar and you can track down the actual holder of your domain name. You can usually get make payment and change your contact information at the same time, helping to prevent a re-occurence of this!
