Commuter Rail gets $20 Million in Federal Funds

Mayor Kalisz, working closely with Senator Kennedy, Senator Kerry and Congressman Frank, delivered on a significant Federal grant that makes the possibility of New Bedford commuter rail service closer to a reality.

With $10 Million earmarked for rebuilding the railroad station in the style of the the old New Bedford rail station.

Mayor Kalisz is building the ground work to ask for greater Federal money to make the commuter rail a reality.
