Jobs in New Bedford    go to Home Depot >

We've created 3,000 jobs working with the Industrial Foundation
and 2,500 more are coming.

In a letter from Tom Davis of the New Bedford Industrial Foundation:

April 8, 2005
Greater New Bedford
INDUSTRIAL FOUNDATIONThe Honorable Frederick M. Kalisz, Jr.
Mayor - City of New Bedford
133 William Street
New Bedford, MA 02740

Dear Mayor Kalisz:

I am pleased to provide you with an update of the results of our efforts to develop the New Bedford Business Park into a major economic growth engine.

With your full support, commitment and financial assistance, we have been able to modernize virtually every aspect of the New Bedford Business Park over the last seven years, thereby creating an additional 3,000 jobs.

Working together, and with your continued support, we expect to create 2,500 more jobs within the next 5 years by building four new roads to open up new areas for plants and offices.

Our efforts could not have succeeded had you and others in City Hall not worked with us on the various economic development and job-creation projects associated with the New Bedford Business Park.

Thank you again for your cooperation and assistance.

Sincerely,

Thomas G. Davis, Executive Director
Greater New Bedford Industrial Foundation
