Video should be archived on DVD and/or computer disc. All video must be saved in its highest resolution without compression to take advantage of new methodology to come. Streaming is a codec applied to the uncompressed video to created a new video files for playback from a server. Quicktime, WindowsMedia, Real and Flash formats are the primary playback applications. As the codecs change, new compressed streaming versions have to be created. Archive once correctly and output to streaming files forever.
